I'm writing an essay at the moment. It's about heroes. I'm writing my essay on a shirt. It's not about a shirt (that'd be an odd hero to have) but rather I'm physically putting my essay on a shirt. I thought about writing it with a marker on the shirt, but for the most part I intend to staple papers to it.

In other news, I attempted cooking today. I made sour cherry scones. They turned out edible and looking like bumpy cookies versus looking black and like something used in one's barbeque. You do know what this means, right? I have two things I can make well! Perhaps I shall open a bakery making two things: strawberry tarts (which I make very well if I do say so) and scones. Perhaps not. There are probably laws against someone like me cooking things for a living.

I've decided to make an attempt at being consistently clean. I always clean the kitchen after I use it and I do my best to keep the bathroom clean (I live in a dorm so this is quite a feat), but my living section is almost constantly a mess. They say that mess is a sign of genius, but it really doesn't feel very good to step on something and hear a loud cracking sound. Perhaps I can be a genius later, when I'm not living with roommates. Ah, they have no need for a genius anyhow considering that they both have access to the internet and its term paper pushers. Hmm, in my mind this paragraph sounds rather narcissistic. Oh well.

Last night, I had a dream my fire alarm went off repeatedly. I've had the dream before (which was incidentally a nightmare the first time I had it), but the first time I woke up thinking that the fire alarm was actually going off and ran out of my dorm to find if it was really doing since the wonderful people who built this building thought it would be a grand idea to put the fire alarms in places where no one can hear them. Ah well, I suppose I should be glad the staircases weren't designed by M.C. Escher and if all else fails I've got a tree outside of my window I could attempt to fling myself at if I am ever trapped.

I plan to do a new sketch in my art book. I want to find some Renaissance type artwork and base it off of that. I particularly like Bicci di Lorenzo's painting The Annuciation and Fra Angelico's The Annuciation. However, considering I want to draw men, the only thing I'll be able to study to help my own sketch will be the shading, coloring and way the wings are drawn until I find a suitable male form to work off of.
